Easy Peanut Butter Sandwich

During shopping last week end, we bought Peanut butter. I had heard about  Peanut butter so much and had wanted to try them out from a long time. The only thing holding me back was that I wasnt sure whether I would like its taste or not. How ever I decided to take a chance this time and I absolutely loved it !!!

Peanut Butter has a lot of health benefits. It has huge amounts of Protein and fiber. It is equivalent to olive oil in the ratio of saturated to unsaturated fats. Usually I have seen that people who go to gym daily being advised to include peanut butter in their diet for their nutritional value.

So for break fast next day, we applied peanut butter like jam on bread on 2 slices of bread and tried them. We felt so full that we couldnt eat anything for a long period of time and that too with just 2 bread slices !!!

I thought of making a proper Peanut butter sandwich and below is what I tried :)

Ingredients:

2 slices of bread
Peanut Butter
4 Spinach leaves
4 slices of Tomato
Salt
Pepper

Prepping : ( 5 min)

Step 1: Wash spinach leaves thoroughly and drain water from them.
Step 2: Microwave the spinach leaves in a microwave safe bowl for 30 sec.( Leaves will wilt)

Note: Instead of spinach leaves, we can use raw lettuce leaves as well.
Method of Preparing: ( 10 min)

Step 1:

Apply Peanut Butter on one side of each slice of the bread.

Step 2:

Keep Spinach leaves on each slice of the bread.

Step 3:

Cut Tomato into round slices and keep them on one slice of the bread.

Step 4:

Now sprinkle Pepper and Salt on the bread slices.

Step 5:

Close one slice of the bread with the other.

Step 6:

Option 1:
Put baking paper on to the baking tray and keep the bread slice on the baking paper.

Put the baking tray with bread onto the oven rack and heat oven at 300 F for around 5 - 7 min till the down bread slice starts turning brown.

Option 2:

Toast the bread slices in a pan or toaster.

After toasting, Cut into different shapes as you like and serve hot.
